Glacier National Park

Another sunrise over a national park. Sigh!

Early morning joy.

2 1/2 hours of watching the sunrise and two hikes in the park before hopping onto this beauty to let someone else do the driving through the park. What a perfect way to visit Glacier - I didn't have to watch the road, I could just watch the beauty around me.

That jagged ridge, above right, is the Continental Divide!

Damn!!

Here’s what naturalist, John Muir, had to say about Glacier National Park:
“Wander here a whole summer, if you can. Thousands of God’s wild blessings will search you and soak you as if your were a sponge, and the big days will go uncounted. ... Give a month at least to this precious reserve. The time will not be taken from the sum of your life. Instead of shortening it, it will indefinitely lengthen it and make you truly immortal. Nevermore will time seem short or long, and cares will never again fall heavily on you, but gently and kindly as gifts from heaven.”

    1. It was such a special place. My goal for the future, to work a summer at the park. It was truly one of the best places I have ever been.
